The main character has two faces. But in a world in which evil in a multitude of disguises invades our daily TV, the two sides of the main character are good. She fails, but in the moral desert where we live, the fact that she has tried to be a good person and do something good seems almost a heroic gesture. Theatre and real life are two different things, but maybe through the artificial language of the theatre, there is a way for us to approach real life and understand it. We go to the theatre because we need to be amazed. To paraphrase Brook, the usual and the unusual – two opposite elements – would like to connect. Andrei Şerban
