INTERFERENCES 2020

On Saturday, November 28, at 12 noon, the Interferences virtual stage presents Stanislavsky Electrotheatre’s production of Octavia. Trepanation, an opera composed by Dmitri Kourliandski and directed by Boris Yukhananov. The opera was created in the year of the centenary of the Russian Revolution, in response to the need to reflect on the nature of power, violence, and tyranny thoughout the ages.
 While the 7th Interferences International Theatre Festival is slowly approaching its last days, our online programming remains just as colorful and varied.

 On Friday, November 27, at 12 noon, the Horizons section will feature the performance of Mother Courage and Her Children, directed by Armin Petras, co-produced by the Hungarian Theatre of Cluj and Staatsschauspiel Dresden.

THE TRAGEDY OF MAN – SILVIU PURCĂRETE ALBUM LAUNCH AT THE 7TH INTERFERENCES INTERNATIONAL THEATRE FESTIVAL

On Friday, November 27, at 12 noon, the launch of The Tragedy of Man directorial album will take place on the Interferences International Theatre Festival's Facebook page (www.facebook.com/Interferences.Festival). The volume was edited by András Visky and published by the Koinónia Publishing House. Silviu Purcărete staged The Tragedy of Man at the Csiky Gergely Hungarian Theatre of Timişoara, the performance was also featured on the first day of this year's Interferences Festival.
 

The event will be attended by Silviu Purcărete, András Visky, George Banu, Attila Balázs and Melinda Mátyus. 

The second week of the 7th Interferences International Theatre Festival will feature plays written by the most important authors of universal literature, such as William Shakespeare (The Tempest), A.P. Chekhov (Platonov), Maxim Gorky (The Lower Depths), Roger Vitrac (Viktor or Power to the Children) and Henrik Ibsen(Rosmersholm). Among the directors who staged the performances presented in the next few days are Karin Beier, Lev Dodin, Yuri Kordonsky, Silviu Purcărete and Andriy Zholdak.

The 7th edition of the Interferences International Theatre Festival continues with performances staged by Michal Dočekal, Krystian Lupa, Gábor Tompa, Silviu Purcărete, Alexandru Darie, Milo Rau and Leta Popescu.
