WRITINGS ABOUT THEATRETadeusz Kantor
Subsequent to the writings of Craig and Meyerhold, we are now continuing the series of the 20th century essential theatrical theories that have been translated into Romanian and published under the generic title of „Mari regizori ai lumii” (The World’s Famous Directors). And then, after a volume and several studies on Tadeusz Kantor, we shall finally welcome within our cultural space the first selection of the most important texts signed by the legendary Polish visual artist and man of theatre. The selection of the texts has been accomplished by Krzysztof Pleśniarowicz, former director of the Cricoteca in Krakow – Centre for Documentation of the Art of Tadeusz Kantor, as well as curator of the most comprehensive edition of Kantor’s Writings, concluded in the artist’s homeland as late as the beginning of this century.

MY THEATRE
Pippo Delbono
Volume conceived and accomplished by Myriam Bloedé and Claudia Palazzolo
Foreword by George Banu
Ammended edition. Translated by Andreea Dumitru
„A book that is being read like a poem by François Villon.” (George Banu)
The volume appeared shortly after the Italian director was awarded the Europe Prize for New Theatrical Realities in Wroclaw, Poland.
Thanks to the interview given to the authors of the French edition, the book offers its readers a fascinating view into the artist’s life and work but it also presents a rich iconography, as well as it includes confessions on his recent presence in Romania (reviews and an interview given to Andrea Dumitru) and, last but not least, an exercise of admiration signed by the graphic artist Dorota Krakowska, Kantor’s daughter.
