Meeting of Generations at the Interferences

The English edition of Gábor Tompa’s private theatrical dictionary, Label Curtain. A Private Theatrical Dictionary (Bookart Publishing) was presented at Tranzit House at 3 pm. The book was originally published in Hungarian in 2010. Editor Andrea Zsigmond said that as she conceived what form the book should take, the idea of playfulness kept coming to the fore, while also bearing in mind contemporary reading attitudes.

The day's program continued with an exhibition opening and a book presentation. Erőtánc [Powerdance], the common album of Botond Részegh and writer György Dragomán, was also published by Bookart. “This is an inverted book”, said Bookart director Áron Hajdú, as in this case the text was written for the “illustrations”. Actors Réka Csutak and Róbert Laczkó Vass read excerpts from the book, offering listeners a taste of Dragomán’s style.
